JASCON 4 – Girting off Nigeria

We are acting for the Nigerian arm of Sea Trucks Group, the operators of the 31 metre long, 53 tonne bollard pull anchor handling tug JASCON 4 which girted and sank on 26 May 2013 whilst assisting the Sovocomflot tanker ALEKSEY KOSYGIN at a Chevron operated SBM in the Escravos Field off Nigeria.  Tragically 11 of the tug crew lost their lives although one, the cook, was miraculously discovered by divers 3 days later in the upturned hull at a water depth of around 30 metres.
